Architect/ Designer/ Creative
George Vlasis Pakalidis is an architect, designer and creative from Greece based in Copenhagen.
His creative practice draws upon advanced concept design through the utilization of new technologies and tools while infusing it with critical ideas as well as other aesthetic practices. His main interests share a creative basis and specifically center around the multidisciplinary spectrum of contemporary architecture, art, fashion and design.
George has graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, School of Architecture, with distinction, in 2019. During his academic years, he participated in multiple international competitions, such as the COCOON competition organized by GIANY in New York, where he got first place, and joined various workshops such as the AA (Architectural Association School of Architecture) Visiting school, in Greece.
After his graduation, he joined 3XN Architects, where he works as an architect/lead designer. Simultaneously, he has been a member of the Bladr community, an artist’s bookstore/exhibition space located in Nørrebro (2020-2021), in Copenhagen, and he is co-founder of the creative research collective "Contextual Mumbling", which is currently experimenting on texture, context, geometry, new media, art instalations and creative direction. Furthermore, he has been practising as an exhibition/instaltion designer for exhibitions such as the Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art in Berlin, the contemporary arts center De Appel in Amsterdam, and others.
